DAILY HIJAB STYLE - LADY WITH THE BRAID

Hi all!
Did I tell you that I moved to Jakarta?
Yes, after finished my college at Andalas University, I decided to continue my study to master degree level. But people says my current major is totally different with my major before. Before I was majoring Human Resource Management, now I change my life direction and majoring Early Childhood Education at the Jakarta State University. And if I am lucky I will continue my double master degree at Ohio State University next year.

Everyone who know last major will asked me surprisingly abot my reason taking Early Childhood Education for my master degree. I myself doesn't have specific reason about why I change my life direction. People may seems Human Resource Management is totally different with Early Childhood Education. But I think it is NOT! Let's think, Human Resource Management is about managing (planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling) "big" people. Human Resource Management is all about managing "mature" people. Now, I ask you, where does this "big" people, these "big kid" comes from? Of course from little boys and girls, right? And I believe, in order to get the right person on a right place as what Human Resource Management says, we need to teach every children in a right way. Trust me, if children got the best education in their early ages (0-8 years) they will definetely growing up as "the right man" for every places they go.

Too bad, in Indonesia Early Childhood Education known and spread starts from year 2000. That is why we got so many bad educated man in our governmental. They all learn alot, having high education, but they have no strong kindness roots in them. And too sad, this major still considered as "unpopular" major to learn about in Indonesia. Only certain people who have realized the importance of Early Childhood Education. Meanwhile, Japan, USA, Australia, and so many others developed country has realized the importance of education for early children so long ago. I hope God bless my choice, and show me the best way to catch my dream to educate children and their parents in the right way. Amin.

Here is my random daily hijab style. Do you think I have a face of Early Childhood educator? Heheh. FYI, since I came to Jakarta I got freedom to dressed up as much as I want. Because people here does not really concern about others if its none of their business. Meanwhile at Padang, West Sumatera, where I lived before, people there really concern about other people. People there especially around my house, I think they are a little bit petty minded. They loves gossipping about neighboors and something like that. That is why I can't express my self as free as I am here in Jakarta. I am just tried to keep simple when dressing in order to avoid any bullshit about my daily hijab style. Remember, we can be as stylish as we want but I believe that being fashionable does not mean we can be an egoist person.

KARTINI - A BED TIME STORY

HAPPY KARTINI DAY, INDONESIAN WOMEN!
Well, gue mau cerita-cerita dikit. Sengaja banyakin bahasa Indonesia. I prefer to post something really really important for women.

Kalau dulu Ibu Kartini menyebarkan kenaikan buat wanita lewat surat, nah kalau gue pake postingan blog dong. Hehe.

Well, here is where the story begins.
"Yulia, aaa cantiiik!"
"Aaaaa, Yulia kamu cantiiik!"
"Yulia, kenapa kamu cantik?"
"Yulia, kenapa setiap hari cantik?"
"Oooo, Yulia kamu ..."

Sekarang gini aja deh, I know enggak semua kita cecewek Indonesia diciptain kayak-kayak Pevita Pearce. Yang mau difoto pake gaya melet, merem, atau gaya apapun tetep bakal luar biasa lucu. Tapi percaya deh, cantik itu masalah persepsi aja sih kalau kata gue. Pokoknya kamu cantik, cantik, cantik!!!
Here is the tips to feel beautifully flawless:
  1. Ngaca deh and touch yourself. Let you know about yourself per inch of them, jangan cuma tahunya ah hidung gue asimetris, ah pipi gue chubby, ah mata gue gede sebelah, dan lain-lain, dan LAIN-LAIN. Dengan ngaca up to toe dan berani untuk menyentuh diri kamu kayak gitu, kamu bakal cinta dan kagum salah satu dari sekian banyak ciptaan Tuhan, yaitu diri kamu. Trust me. Dan satu lagi, Tuhan enggak nyiptain kamu begitu adanya tanpa alasan.
  2. Mingle, cantik is not just about flawless skin, rambut kayak model iklan shampoo, dan hal-hal absurd seperti itu. Try!
  3. Sediain 'ME TIME" yang banyak buat diri lo. Have fun ngelakuin apa aja dan cuma ada kamu. Mau luluran kek, dengerin kotak musik, naik komedi putar, makan lollipop, ke salon, ngerawat diri, traktir diri lo sesuatu, baca buku, masak, beresin kamar, ke kebun binatang. Try to solve your problem yourself. Try to know yourself. Ask yourself, how deep is your love to yourself?
Bukan, bukan doa biar kulit lo mendadak jadi putih, bukan doa biar hidung lo jadi mancung. Tapi doa biar Tuhan mengampuni dosa-dosa lo.

SELAMAT HARI KARTINI!
SEMUA WANITA CANTIK.
KALAU FAKTA MENUNJUKKAN KALIAN WANITA.
ITU ARTINYA KALIAN CANTIK!!!
SEKIAN :)

DAILY HIJAB STYLE - A WHOLE NEW WORLD OF HAREM PANTS

Hello People! I am currently in love with fashion things called harem pants, or here in Indonesia mostly said as Aladdin Pants at its first time came to my country. Harem makes me feel more comfortable. And I love the way my friends calls me, everytime I wear any harem pants, Jasmine. And then they will singing "A Whole New World" song, the original soundtrack for Aladdin movie every single time they pass in front of me. Hehe. But yes, you can't just waer harem pants like when you are wearing your jeans. You need to make some adjustment to your upper outfit and your feet, because harem can instantly cut your torso and create a short siluet to your body. Well maybe it's okay if you got height like catwalk candies, but if you are someone with average height it could be seriously dangerous. Here some of my tips if you are going to use harem pants:

How to use harem pants:
  1. Tuck your shirt/tee/upper outfits right into your harem pants.
  2. Its okay if you are wearing long upper outfits and do not want to tuck it into your harem pants, but please create shape to your body by using belt.
  3. It will be much better if you wear harem pants with gladiator sandals, wedges, pumps, or aladdin sandals. Flats shoes sometime also can shorten your torso, except if your flat is open toe.
  4. Choose the right harem pants for yourself, there are so many kinds of harem pants outside there, and not every single of them is fit on you, except (again) you got the height like catwalk candies.
  5. If you wear veil or any accessories, watch the way you wear them. It can be create a short siluet to your body.
