HIJAB DAILY STYLE - A THOUSAND YEARS

DEAR PEOPLE...

Ah,,,, finally I can update my blog post after thousand years let it hibernate. Well, lets say I'm busy searching for what I want after graduate from my college. I'm trying to find a job based on my specialty, human resource management, but it was such I don't really fit in that kind of job anymore. And then my mom asked me to continue my study to master degree program. And yes, after a lot of thinking and bargaining I finally decided to continue my study and take master degree at UNJ (Universitas Negeri Jakarta/ Jakarta State University). And I surprisingly change my life direction from economic things to early childhood education things. Yes, I take "Early Childhood Education" as my master degree major. And if I'm lucky and work hard, I hope I can take my dual master degree fro early childhood education from Ohio State University. Amin.

I know it was a very big decision I made, I feel like God show me this way, to know more about children's world, not to know about what happen in economic. FYI, as long as I take my bachelor degree in economic, I just don't really into it. Even I work hard as long as I take it. So after this very big decision, I hope my life from now on will continue perfectly, has a good impact to my surroundings, makes my parents proud, and makes me happy. Amin. Wish me luck people!

PORTFOLIO - WAGON STATION

Another photo session taken by me, Yulia Rahmawati, from a wagon station at West Sumatera, Indonesia. In this photo session I'm trying to get a different kind of photography by trying to get different views on my photo's object. Some photos are out of focus or blurred in order to let people put more attention on something ordinary and often out of their focus but actually important around them. And the rest of photos, I focused on editing photos for the model photos, yes, I made them in over exposure editing. The editing process also has a meaning. I'm trying to send people a message that they should stop looking for only the dazling things at their life. Its time to enlarge their focus to something that actually important but usually just seeing as a blurred things in their life. Life is too short to regrets, Peeps!

(Salah satu sesi pemotretan yang gue, Yulia Rahmawati, coba tangkap di salah satu stasiun kereta api di Padang, Sumatera Barat, Indonesia. Kali ini gue mencoba untuk mendapatkan genre foto yang berbeda dengan mencoba mengambil sudut pandang yang berbeda pada objek-objek dalam foto gue. Beberapa foto sengaja dibuat blur (out of focused) untuk menarik perhatian orang lain agar lebih lama mengamati foto-foto tersebut dan mencoba menebak-nebak si objek pada foto. Gue sengaja bikin foto kayak gitu dengan pesan dan harapan orang-orang bisa menaruh perhatian lebih pada hal-hal yang mereka anggap biasa dan sering diabaikan tetapi sebenarnya penting di sekitar mereka. Dan untuk sisa foto yang lain gue mencoba fokus pada editan foto pada foto model, yup, gue memang sengaja mengedit foto-foto model tersebut seolah over eksposur/ pencahayaan. Proses editing ini juga memiliki arti. Gue mencoba untuk mengirim pesan bahwa terkadang kita, manusia, harus berhenti berfokus hanya pada hal-hal yang menyilaukan dalam hidup kita seperti misalnya kecantikan, harta, jabatan, dan lain-lain. Cobalah untuk memperbesar fokus pada hal yang selama ini sering diabaikan namun ternyata penting dalam hidup, seperti misalnya lingkungan, tunanetra, tukang sapu jalan, tukang angkut sampah, bibi yang bantu di rumah, suara tawa anak-anak, langit biru, tetangga yang jarang kita kunjungi atau sapa, hitam putih hidup, dan lain-lain.Dengan begitu semoga kita bisa belajar untuk lebih banyak bersyukur dan menikmati hidup.SEMOGA!)

SEBENTUK HATI UNTUK ON|OFF ID 2011 PART #2

Hello! Ini tuh postingan lanjutin dari postingan gue sebelumnya tentang Sebentuk Hati Untuk ON|OFF Id 2011 Part #1 a.k.a. pesta blogger-nya orang Indonesia. Kalau di postingan sebelumnya gue enggak menyertakan satu gambarpun, itu bukan karena Ayu Ting Ting belum juga jadi bintang iklan So Nice, tapi lebih karena gue mau fokus ke tulisan gue tentang betapa saya bener-bener agak kecewa dengan acara ON|OFF Id 2011 yang tumben-tumben gue tulis dengan bahasa seratusan juta umat di Indonesia. Nah, kalo postingan lanjutan ini lebih ke share foto tentang hal yang menarik perhatian gue selama berada di ON|OFF Id 2011 kemarin.

7. I heart the jacket. Glamorous.
8. Suka bat-wing cardigan-nya. Detail di bagian dada nya not my taste.
9. Up to toe = perfecto.
10. My Favourite!
11. Blazernya lovable, cuma dress garis-garis yang dikenakan sebagai paduan blazer nya menurut gue kurang oke, soalnya garis-garisnya too big kayaknya terutama buat yang bertubuh plus size. But, if you are a skinny girl, it would be okay :)  
12. Para designer yang memeragakan lini fashion mereka pada fashion show HijUp.com. Enggak semua yang mereka peragakan kemarin jadi favorit gue. Silahkan dinilai sendiri, mungkin kita punya selera berbeda J

Satu-satunya acara yang bikin gue enggak nyesel ikutan ON|OFF Id 2011 adalah menghadiri kelas fotografinya mas Jerry Aurum pada salah satu breakout sessions. Si Mas ini banyak cerita tentang perjuangan dia hingga finally bisa kayak sekarang, meskipun dia enggak ngaku kalau dia itu salah satu fotografer termahal di Indonesia. Dan pada waktu foto-foto sama Mas Jerry inilah kejadian naas menimpa diri gue, yaitu goody bag gue entah ketukar atau sengaja diembat sama orang lain. Padahal dalam Goody Bag itu ada buku Indonesia Mengajar yang baru gue beli dan bahkan belum sempat gue baca satu huruf pun. Dan yang lebih naas lagi, buku itu sudah ditandatangani sama Pak Anies Baswedan yang ketemu langsung di acara ON|OFF Id kemarin waktu gue membeli buku itu.

Masih banyak sih acara lain yang gue ikuti, kayak launching buku Tisha yang berjudul Just Silly, Akustikan bareng Kunto Aji Indonesian idol, ada juga fashion show dari Local Brand, dan lain-lain. Cuma gue males banget ngeluarin kamera buat mengabadikan mereka.

Jadi kalau gue ditanya gimana rasanya ikutan ON|OFF Id 2011 kemarin, rasanya itu uhmh,,, kayak kehilangan duit Rp 100.000,-! Heheh.
