FLORAL OVERALLS HIJAB STYLE

Floral overalls hijab style. As I told you at my another blog post here, floral things is my weakness, I am falling in love with them easily. This time I am wearing floral overalls, my mommy's vintage stuff actually then I asked her to move this floral overalls from her closet to mine. My mom is kind of mother who will give anything to her children as long as her children asking for something good. So, now that floral overalls is mine. yeaaay. Thank you mommy :)

To complete my hijab style, I paired my floral overalls with plain white t-shirt from Uniqlo, grey stockings, my milky brown plain SAY Hijab scarf, and iResign Flatform shoes.

By the way, how is your April so far? Mine was amazing, would love to hear yours. Have a nice day.

PATTERN PANTS HIJAB STYLE

This time I'm playing with pattern pants to complete my hijab style. Playing with patterns can be quite tricky, but you do not need to be afraid to play with them. My tips for playing with patterns: combine plaids and flowers,  combine polkadots and plaids, big patterns with smaller one, neutralise patterns with plain outfit, combine patterns in the same colour palettes. Be brave and playful!

I'm getting busier, so happy even though I feel a little bit tired but my life get so much fun. Besides, I need to adjust my daily outfit with my activities as well. Pants and shoes with flat soles are best friends for me right now. Recently, I wear flat shoes a lot, flatform, ballet shoes, sneakers, running shoes, boat shoes, boots, you name it.

And flowers, have I told you that I really love flowers? They are such a mood booster for me. It does not matter what's the name of the flower, I will always love them, even the one with bad smells. Seeing flowers around me is really therapeutic for me, their shapes, their colours, perfection. Sometimes event hough I don't know their names, I just love them. FYI, I can spend my money more on flowers than foods :p

I wish someday I could have my own little flower garden, taking care of them, just so I can spend my spare time watching my flowers blooming, reading books or something with my lovelies between my flower garden.

HEADLINE COFFEE SHOP KEMANG

This post is about my little visit to Headline Coffee Shop Kemang (Headline Espresso and Brew Bar). Headline Coffee Shop located at Jalan Kemang Utara Raya No. 50 Jakarta, Indonesia. You can find coffees from different Indonesia regions and foreign country at Headline Coffee Shop. That day, I would love to try the Arabica Solok Coffee, a less known arabica coffee from West Sumatra. Unfortunately I have not eaten any foods since morning, just sipped a glass of hot milo, so I decided not to try any black coffee at Headline coffee and ordered a green tea instead. Which means I have to visit this espresso and brew bar again next time.

So, here I am, 2 weeks without no update, eh? Although I've got so many good news to share, but I just feel like I don't have mood to make any sentences to describe my pictures. All pictures at this post been uploaded like a week but I kept them at my blog draft. Feels like I run out of any words to write even a short blog post one. Currently my life was too excited that I even hard to describe it.

Traveling projects, fashion projects, thesis project, met up with old friends, family time, me time, teaching kids, etc. I couldn't stop saying Alhamdulillah (Thank Allah) and praised Allah, I felt so blessed of being me.

Just like this time, I met Bang Allan and Bang Andri at Headline Coffee Shop, my old friends when I was taking my bachelor degree at Padang, West Sumatra. He came to Jakarta for some projects with his friends Bang Ulil and Bang Fajar. They are all are awesome photographer. We talked a lot about how to read and create a good photograph visually.

Anyway, I really love the design of Headline Coffee Shop, especially their dark blue walls combined with colours from wood materials and cute hand drawings spreads on their round tables and counter area. I also love that Headline Coffee provided some books at their shop. The words written on the tip jar also my favourite, "Please!!! Send us to Raja Ampat :)".

FYI, Headline Coffee open from 8.00 am to 10.00 daily. You also can enjoy sipping your coffee while listening to good music and surfing at your favourite websites. They also provides foods and cakes. Such a perfect place to meet friends, colleagues, and family or having "me time" with yourself.

As I told you before, I will come back someday, so many coffees to try here. A cup of coffee is never enough, yes? Umh, I will tell more updates of my life at another blog post. Stay tuned ;)

KELAS INSPIRASI 2, NOW OPEN KELAS INSPIRASI 3

Good times for a change,
So for once in my life,
let me, let me, get what I want.
Lord knows, it would be the first time.

Kelas Inspirasi (Inspirational Class) is a part of Indonesia Mengajar program which offers an opportunity for professionals to take one day off from work (cuti) and being a teacher, share inspirations for elementary schools children about their profession. To let the children knows that there are so many kind of chance in life that they can involve and take part at. Kelas Inspirasi would like the children knows that the world is so big and waiting for them. Now Kelas Inspirasi spread not only at Jakarta, but also Jogja, Palembang, Makassar, etc.

Why elementary school children to be inspired? Because the mission of Kelas Inspirasi is to encourage young children to have a dream, and go for it. No matter what is they dream. Some children dreaming of being a teacher, artist, scientist, pilot, doctor, soccer player, or farmer, or mechanic, even parking attendants. Children at elementary school age still at their dreaming stage and they are conscious and logic enough to be inspired.

All of the selected one-day-inspiring teacher would not teaching students daily lessons such as maths, Bahasa, religion, science, or sport. These inspiring teacher will demonstrate their profession with their own way so the children will understand about their profession, to attract the children, to inspire them. This will be a great experience to be a teacher, and eventhough most of teachers says that was not easy to teach (Oh yes, now they already know how does it feel to be a teacher), but being a teacher at Kelas Inspirasi giving addiction to joint this action again and again. All the energy, tricks, equipment, models, jokes, everything, to attract and to explain their profession to the children.

Me myself participated as a volunteer photographer at Kelas Inspirasi 2 Jakarta, someday I would love to try being a "pengajar" (teacher) at Kelas Inspirasi because one of the requirements of being teacher at Kelas Inspirasi is having at least 2 years experience at current job. Being a photographer does not mean I did not having fun at Kelas Inspirasi. I learned a lot form the teachers, from the children, and from all the stakeholders at the school I documented. Umh, at the end I still believe that it is not only us who inspire the children, but we did inspired by them as well. Oh, I can't help myself seeing all those little hands raising up to answer the question, even though some of them looked a bit shy at the first. Also seeing their smiles, laugh, and looks so interesting with my camera. So many of them try to ask me to walk around their schools, introduced their canteen, classes, until toilet, and looked so proud of holding my hands and guided me, while their friends looking at them. I taught them how to play with my camera at their break up time, and I felt so grateful that they was really excited to take picture of their friend and couldn't wait for they turn to hold my camera.

The most happiest moment in my life that day was when I read all the dreams of the children. I felt happy that some of them still stick with their dream and my favourite dream was "botanist". I did know where did she get that dream from. Unfortunately I did not met the girl who wrote that dream on her "Pintu Mimpi"

Thank you Kelas Inspirasi 2 for a-one-day-full-of-inspiration in my life. I will definetely joint Kelas Inspirasi 3 as photographer. Wish me luck, hope I'll be selected again to document this amazing event and feel free to joint Kelas Inspirasi as teacher here and as photographer & videographer here.
